The Project

Neil was a Brisbane investor looking for a medium to long term hold with capital growth potential to purchase in a Self-Managed Super Fund.  With his primary residence just around the corner from our Chermside office, he walked in one day to have a chat about Buyer’s Agents and what we do!  Working with a budget of up to $500k, he was looking for something in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane, within 15-25km of the CBD.  Using one of our trusted Mortgage Brokers, we were able to help Neal set up his Super Fund and related trusts.

The Property

The property we purchased was in a popular Northern suburb, close to public transport and a local shopping centre.  The house itself had been recently renovated and re-painted, with a large new deck out the back, and a fresh rumpus room underneath.  The kitchen was modern and open, with great flow through to a large living area with aircon. The master bedroom had been re-designed to include a walk-in robe, and a new aircon unit installed, with ceiling fans in the other bedrooms.  A property in this condition is always competitive in this area, but we were able to recommend a strong but fair price to secure the property against a number of other offers!

  • Listing Price: Offers Over $399,000
  • Purchase Price: $432,000
  • Estimated Rental: $400-420pw (currently managed by Property Zest and recently rented for $430pw!)
