The property we purchased was a very tidy post-war house in a quiet pocket of a popular suburb.  With a renovated kitchen and polished floorboards, half of the work has already been done, with potential to add value in the bathroom in the future.  This style of house is highly sought-after in Brisbane and we try and snap them up whenever they come to market!  Close to the train, shops and schools, this has proven to be popular on the rental market with a recent advertising campaign needing only 2 inspections before fantastic new tenants were found!
