The Project
Lisa was Sydney-based investor looking for a good balance of growth and yield in a Brisbane property purchase. During location analysis, we were looking across all areas that had good transport access to the CBD or were close to the coast. After consultation, we narrowed down a small selection of each of these areas to provide some contrasting options as the search progressed.
The Property
The property we purchased was in a popular Northwest suburb that has been going through a strong period of re-generation in recent years. Previously dominated by post-war and commission homes, this area has seen a lot of renovation and smaller development projects, and is quickly becoming sought-after for its convenient transport links to the city. This house itself was a classic brick highset, with built-in rumpus room and bathroom underneath next to the double internal garage. With afternoon sun on the large covered deck, the house had a slightly larger floorplan than usual for the area, and with a few extra features to appeal to prospective tenants. Going to multiple offer after the first open home, we were able to secure the property for a good price against strong competition.
