The Project

S&B were inter-state investors looking for a medium to long term hold with capital growth potential.  Their long term goal is to acquire a number of rental properties, so while yield was not the main target, it was a factor in keeping the weekly costs down.  With a budget up to $550k, we were looking on the Northern side of Brisbane at areas within 25km of the CBD to find a property that would yield above 4% with good growth prospects.  Sounds like a dream combination of growth and yield, but there was good news to come!

The Property

The property was a highset full brick home only 15km North of Brisbane CBD.  With modern renovations throughout, all the hard work had been done, and the property was family-friendly and ready for rent.  Modern high-quality fittings and appliances complimented the simple design features and clean lines.  No one would know this property was built in 1960!  With two side-by-side internal garage spaces underneath, and plenty of room for storage or a future rumpus room, there is still potential to be unlocked in the future.
